Announcing New Curator Negin Sharifzadeh

Cafe Nadery friends and supporters,

We are thrilled to have a new creative team member joining us! I would like to introduce you to Negin Sharifzadeh, our new curator. She will start putting together our art shows starting this November.

Negin is an artist-curator based in Bushwick. Her academic background is in sculpture, from the Faculty of Fine Arts,Tehran University and performing arts & video from The School of the Art Institute of Chicago. In New York she is best known for her short animated films. Her film Even Gray Feels Blue, won three top awards in New York at the Williamsburg International Film Festival, the Crown Heights Film Festival and the Alwan for the Arts Video Art Competition.

Negin recently curated Alwan for the Arts Annual Art Auction at the Shirin gallery in Chelsea.
She is currently curating a show in SoHo entitled, Are We Already Gone? Artists on the Art of Leaving, on display at 78 Crosby Street September 21-28, 2014.
